Css and Rails

It seems to not make any difference the folowing css code to the rails
application any suggestion.

ul#categories {
width: 700px;
text-align: center;
padding: 5px;
background-color: #ececec;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}

ul#categories li {
display: inline;
padding-left: 5px;
}

This is really not a Rails question, but here are some things to check.

  • Clear your browser cache.
  • Verify that the stylesheet is being loaded
  • Verify you have ul elements with id=“categories”

Hi Michael I am doing a tutorial from Rails made Easy book and I
followed everything according to the book. And everytime I reach at
this point nothing
happen. The rest of the CSS code works but when I add the last 2
nothing happens. I did verify the ul element and is there.

Do I just clear the history of the browser if I want to clear my browser
cache ?

And what about loading my browser is loading ?

Usually browser history and browser cache are different. I suggest
you look in the documentation for your browser or google.

Ja Tse,

This is not the appropriate forum to be asking these questions. I’ve
tried to provide you with tools to solve your issue yourself. I
suggest you google or perhaps view the archives of the CSS-discuss list.

If you have a Rails-specific question, please feel free to ask.
