Deploying rails on web servers?

Hey All, Quick question. I have a host that apparently has Ruby
running. I’m not sure how to deploy a rails application to that server.
I’ve tried just uploading all the files in the application directory
(rails stuff, my app stuff). but nothing… what is a good way of
finding this out?
