Extraction of country / area code and phone number EPP

Hi,

Let’s say there is a phone number, say “+816726871111” …
I’m trying to extract which country the call is being made to, which
area code, and whether if its a mobile or a land line.

I understand EPP standards tell me, the country code can be 1-3 digits.
In the case above, it’s Japan. But I need some logic here.

Is there a class or a code snippet which looks up a table and comes up
with this sort of thing?

Any info is much appreciated.

I think your best bet is to get a list of country codes. look for
telcordia on the internet last i checked they are the holders of the
data. or borrow it form a voip provider on the net. most of them
have a international pricing list by country code.
