JRuby 1.7.4 has already been released, but I have a fix in progress that
will go into 1.7.5. If you can’t wait until then, you can grab a nightly
build or build it yourself.

I’ll test this bug as it’s blocking us from migrating to 1.7.x:
I saw on JIRA what you did and it makes sense to split these (possibly)
faulty libs from the main jar.
