Ka-band low-noise block downconverters (LNB) and block upconverters
(BUC) are available from several manufacturers. Most of these convert
signals to/from L-band (1-2GHz), which can be accessed with the WBX. You
can find them on eBay sometimes for “cheap”. HughesNet uses Ka-band at
19.7-20.2GHz so you can find used LNBs for under $20 on eBay. BUCs tend
to be much more expensive.

Accessing 50MHz of bandwidth simultaneously is possible with a USRP2
using 8-bit samples.
