continuate
numerosi!!!

Everybody knows we’re always hiring at Envato, but this time it’s
different!
We’ve just set up a three-strong-and-growing dedicated team to
completely rewrite the Tuts+ Premium site in Rails 3, and take it to
the next level in functionality, usability and scale. The roadmap for
expansion with this project is just enormous. If you’ve ever learned
something from our Tuts+ Network, maybe you’d like to get in on the
ground floor of a complete re-imagining of what’s at Tuts+ Premium
right now!
This is a new team with different personalities and skill sets from
our marketplace sites. Our codebase will be super new and fresh, and
we’ll be making important design decisions today which will affect how
our site
and our team run for years to come. We’ll be writing our own rules,
while drawing on years of business experience.
The business itself is dedicated to injecting effort, interest and
money into Tuts+ Premium, as they have a passion for teaching and want
this to be the flagship website for providing affordable and effective
education to people all over the world through the Tuts+ network. This
has long been the goal here at Envato, but much focus has been
dedicated to our Marketplaces such as ThemeForest up to this point.
Now, management are focused like a laser on making this happen for the
Tuts+ Network in a very big way.
We’re looking for Senior and Mid-Tier Ruby developers, but are open to
hearing from any people who believe they belong in this role! Our
requirements are as follows:
Requirements:
Be a nice person!
2+ years Rails Experience.
3+ years Commercial Programming Experience.
Strong test-driven development experience.
Solid SQL skills.
Basic CSS + Javascript.
A commitment to Agile processes.
A passion for learning.
Good communication skills.
Not required, but very good to have:
Be a nice && funny person.
Scarily good DB skills.
Previous commercial git exposure.
4+ years programming experience.
Open source contributions.
Full understanding of git internals.
Unix obsession (Unix beard optional).
A strong understanding of Agile processes.
Non-Rails R. experience.
If you think the above list of skills suits you, or it doesn’t but you
think you’re still worth a look, please send an email to
[email protected] with the subject line “Ignore the bird. Follow the
river.”
For recruiters: Do not contact us about this position, or any other
TutsPremium positions whatsoever.
