Markup plugin recommendations

What is the recommended plugin for html markup? I see there is a few of
them out there (redcloth and bluecloth), but I have no experience with
any of them, although BlueCloth looks pretty nice.

Any advice is appreciated.

Assuming you mean template rendering systems, I would look at HAML. If
you mean markup for users to enter, I would look at Markdown.
