Hello,

I need a good vps rails hosting, it need to support mercurial, git and
some subdomains.

Anyone have one to recomend!?

Usually a VPS will be a bare setup, so you can install all of these.

I love Slicehost. So do lots of other people.

A friend have recomended me now Linode and Slicehost, have you used
Linode too?
