Rails Site: VegasLists.com

Just wanted to drop a note about a new Rails site that we’re testing in
the
wild, http://www.vegaslists.com.

The site allows users to create lists about anything Las Vegas related
and
then lets other users comment on those lists.

It was a project that went from concept to completed in about 2 weeks,
working on it after the ‘real job’ for fun. It’s very simple but it’s a
lot
of fun and the response so far has been good.

Check it out and if you’re a Las Vegas fan, contribute!

Cheers,
Hunter

Very nice indeed and a great idea. I’m curious though - how many of us
here are in Las Vegas? You’re actually, in CA, right?

Yeah, I’m in Southern California.

Does LV have a vibrant Rails community? Or even a non-vibrant one?

Well, if we do, they must be hiding themselves from me. We have a
local LUG, and I think there was a guy listed on the R(uby)UG meetup
list a while back. Someone please prove me wrong!

Sweet ! I dig the header graphic, and am truly appreciative of the
“best
booze” list

Soooo… Hunter… umm… when you get whisked off to Vegas on some VIP
trip
because some casino owner loves the promotion, remember me. I love
Vegas,
Rails, and I work on State Street. The limo could just swing by and
pick me
up

I was bored here at work and I was doing random searches and see this
post. I didn’t know there were other Rubyists in Vegas.

maybe we can get others together and expand the usage in Vegas.
