Or perhaps a hook that specifies which plugins to check in? Depending
on the app one list could be much shorter than the other and getting
engines to ignore plugins that should never be checked would be great
imho.

Nice suggestion Trevor.
That would be great. I haven’t looked at any of the engine plugin’s
internals. If my itch gets itchy enough I’ll take a look at implementing
that.
