I wrote a user story for this and never got the updates (must have
been a Trac update) but there is a pretty good sidebar for recent
comments now.

I’ve no idea who drskrud is … but good man (er, or woman). It
works with trunk as well … well the diff does.
Just in case anyone else didn’t realise and had wondered.
