Ri offers only infos from the gems, what about e.g. String

Hello to all,

i’m a newbie to ruby and like to use ri for learning. If i type
e.g. ri String i get only the information from the gems i installed. Not
from the “core”.
Can someone help me find a solution?
I’m using debian and installen ruby ( ree-1.8.7-2012.02 ruby-1.8.7-p358
ruby-1.9.3-p125 ) via rvm.

I fond a solution on
rvm - Nothing known about.... when trying ri String#upcase Ruby - Stack Overflow.
It’s ‘rvm docs generate’.

I hope thats all i need 4 now!
