Ruby on Rail hosted on Heroku

Hi,

Hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

A client has asked me to take over a website developed by another company using Ruby on Rails and hosted on Heroku. On my initial look through it seemed relatively straight forward and initial changes to the site were relatively simple. However the next batch of updates are proving more of a challenge.

The sections of the site that are needing updates do not appear in the Active Admin panel or in any of the .erb files in the site local structure. The same applies to some of the css - it isn’t in the local files but appears in the working website.

I just need a steer on where these items might be located for editing. The original developers seem to have made what is a relatively basic site very complicated and now will only offer any help if we book a consultancy appointment with their developers - chargeable of course!

The site is hosted on a Heroku Hobby account and i don’t seem to have any access to the Postgre database. My initial feeling is that parts of the site have been hidden away to stop anyone else working on it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Julian
