Has anyone come across a decent set of docs, or even class/method list
for shoes?
I’ve tried joining the ML for it, but never got a response, so I can’t
even ask on it yet.

As it stands for the moment, you’ve pretty much got to tie your own
laces. The lace tying machine is as-yet-uninvented.
Someone posted this earlier today:

Besides that, you’ve pretty much just got this wiki:
http://code.whytheluckystiff.net/shoes/
If so little docs is a turn-off to you, you’ll probably just want to
wait patiently/breathe deeply for a bit.
Hope that helps,

I’ve already read through all the examples, played with them etc, and
the wiki and examples on hackity.
I was just hoping for something very much like that first link you
posted. Thanks!
I don’t need the lace tying machine, just the schematics for it

Just a guess - learn Cairo and Pango.
