Socket gem is not available anymore what you recommend the replace it

Hi All,

I used “socket” gem but it is not available anymore. What other gem can you recommend to replace it?

Socket is not only a gem, it’s from standard Ruby library. I am not aware of any other gem that could replace that! But yeah, it’s just some C code that uses the Linux API calls and stuff. So there might be other gems. But I’m not sure if they are as good, cross-platform supported, performant as the socket library from standard library of Ruby!

If you find socket library buggy or has problem, report that to bugzilla so that Ruby can also improve!
