You can install a fresh Tcl from:
Their 8.4 seems to play well with OCI ruby.
Does windows still think tcl is installed? You might want to attempt to
uninstall that first.

I’ve tried that it doesn’t work for me. We reinstalled the OS on the
laptop so I don’t think that TCL would be ‘installed’ How can I check?

Well, I was talking about the add/remove programs control panel, but if
you know tcl isn’t there, then just install install it from scratch.
Is there any other GUIs besides the G something something? Please
forgive me it has been forever since I’ve programmed it’s just that
someone asked me to build an app and now I’m having a hard time on the
GUI… TK is too much of a problem to install, it seems rather imposable
to TK84.dll and the G one is too much work. Is there yet another GUI?
Well I installed tcl 8.4.16 and now I don’t get that error now it runs,
but nothing happens… Why did they have to take TK84.dll out?

Hi Mohammad,
I know it is to late…just click the link
ActiveState ActiveTcl (Windows) 8.5.11.0 Free Download - ActiveTcl: Tcl distribution for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux - ActiveState.
I had encounter the same problem…just install ActiveTcl-8469,after
installing just copy the tk84.dll located in C:\Tcl\bin & then paste it
in C:\ruby\bin…That’s all,try to run your Scite with code require
“tk”…Hope this help…
Good day,
Bernie Loriaga

Fox/FXRuby comes with the Windows Ruby OCI. Take a look at the examples.
They can be found in your installed ruby dir at:
lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/fxruby-1.6.13-mswin32/examples/table.rb
for example. You might want to “gem update” first, since I think the OCI
doesn’t have quite the latest FXRuby.
