Upgrade to Fedora 7?

I’m considering upgrading my receiver 'puter (a Dual-core Pentium
system) from FC6 to Fedora7.

Anything I need to know for Gnu Radio?

I’ve already noticed that Firefox 2.0.0.5 is very flakey on Fedora
7–crashes without provocation every few
minutes. [If anyone here happens to know the fix for that, that would
be cool, but I’m mostly interested
in Gnu Radio “gotchas”].

I’ve been using Ubuntu with much better results. You’ll spend less time
fixing the OS and more time on doing GNU radio stuff.

I’ve been using both FC6 and F7 with GNU Radio, and have never had any
problems.

I am using FF 2.0.0.5, and cannot find any problems with it. I leave
it running for days on my workstation, and it does not crash here.

Everyone’s mileage may vary, but I’ve experienced no (major) problems
with
Fedora 7, and none relating to the GNU Radio.

Watch out for the 64-bit version, the numeric package for Python doesn’t
play well with GNU radio (causes problems with usrp_fft.py among
others).
I’ve noticed that the same error pops up for numerous people using many
different applications that rely on that module.

I used FC7 since the day of and prior to it’s release. I’ve had a
number of issues, but none of them regarding GNU Radio.
