I posted a question on this forum yesterday and followed it for awhile
but there were no replies. When I checked again today the original post
was gone altogether, and Search did not list it either. What gives?
It was titled “validates_length_of and char fields” or something like
that.
It happened again! I should have been more explicit: the lost postings
are to the Ruby on Rails forum from the list at the left of this page
(and all the forum pages).
I made another post to the Ruby on Rails forum about having more that
one database open on the same machine, just after I posted the note
below. The note below remained, but the other one disappeared. At first
I thought maybe it was because I created the posting as a Guest, so I
registered before posting again but the second post to Ruby on Rails
also disappeared!

I lost a post from the rails forum as well in the last couple of days,
at least i can’t find it in the search.
I’ve also 'lost a post, but to the ruby-talk forum. I received an email
indicating a new message had been posted. The email is below and while
it indicates Robert K. replied, there is no link to the thread nor
is there any sign of my post or the reply on the forum…
